Random Pictures

Here are some pictures of Brooke I took Sunday night. She is wearing the "It's a Girl!" dress. To explain myself. . . . that is the dress David and I bought the day we found out we were havng a girl. She can finally fit into the dress, although it's a tad big on the shoulders. She was just so pretty on Sunday!

Brooke loves her bath time. This morning Daddy was giving her a bath and she was just quietly enjoying the warm water and attention. Doesn't she just look delighted to be there?

Of all our children, Cole shows the most interest in his new sister. The other day he put her hand on the toy of her bouncy seat, and was delighted when she pulled on that string! He had so much fun "playing" with our Brooke.

Growing Up

Brooke is growing up. She's doing very well holding her head up for a few moments at a time. I did a photo shoot with her, but I didn't do so well capturing her with her head up. Here were some of the photos we got. She's just so precious.

Going to Church

This week was Brooke's first week at church. And to make it even better, we had a four-day revival. So she got really spiritual this week!

The guest speaker was Allen Domelle. I travelled with Bro. Domelle and his wife in tour groups two summers, so it was kind of neat to have him there for Brooke's first church service.

My Boys

I just love these guys!

Brooke

Of course I can't sign out this weekend without sharing pictures of our Brooke. She's filling out and it's noticable in the way she's finally able to wear some of her newborn clothes!
Here she is ~ stylin' just like her momma!

I bought this bonnet at the Mennonite shop in town. Brooke makes it look so cute.

At the Park

We went to the park the other night. The kids love the park in our town, and I have to agree that it's pretty special. They were playing basketball with Dad. . . . shooting hoops into a big tire.

Cole is my little monkey/climber. He always has been, and always will be!

Grammie

My mom flew in and out for a quick visit this week. It was so good to have her here, and so hard to let her get back on that plane! She spoiled the boys, babied me, and teased David, of course! I love you, Mom!

Don't Forget The Boys!

With all the baby talk happening lately, I figured I should mention the boys in here somewhere! Trevor had a good time today packing his brothers around the house. He's a big boy!

Saying Good-Bye

All good things have to come to an end. Papa & Nana and Aunt Cindy headed out yesterday. Here was our last photo shoot before they took off.

And here's one of my favorites:

Family

We were fortunate to have David's parents and sister come in shortly before Brooke was born. They were such a help to us, taking care of the kids while we were away from home. How nice that we didn't have to worry about the boys! We knew they were well-taken care of with Papa and Nana. Of course Brooke made the rounds. . .

Baby Photos

Here are some of Brooke on her 7th & 8th days of life.

Baby Brooke

What is it about a newborn? I could sit and stare at Brooke Lauryn all day long! And she has the same effect on people when we're in public as well. There's just something so special about a tiny, little life.

We took Brooke to the doctor yesterday for a check-up. We were happy to know that she gained three whole ounces! So she now weighs in at 5 pounds and 12 ounces. She's still just so tiny that it amazes me. (Especially when I remember how big my tummy was!) I'm wondering. . . . . Will I feel compelled to take pictures of her every time we change her outfit? Will it ever feel old, this feeding her and holding her? I hope not!

I wonder. . . . . Does she know how much I already love her?
