Who Needs A Pacifier?

The Princess

I went shopping today with Brooke. She is such a joy to my heart. I can't even express how much I am enjoying my baby girl. She is in that wonderful stage of life where she is becoming aware of her surroundings. She now knows she can reach for a toy, and her little self gets so excited when she actually touches it! She also recognizes us and follows us with her eyes as we walk around the room. The other day David came into the room and he started talking to her. Her little foot just started kicking and kicking, she was just so excited to see her daddy!

I found these little wall decals at the dollar store today, and just had to get them for Brooke's door.

This morning she was dressed so cutely for our shopping trip, I just had to stop EVERYTHING and take some pictures of her.

It was a big day today for Brooke. We got the exersaucer out of the attic for her. The poor thing is so tiny, you can barely see her! But she is enjoying this new view much better than the swing or bassinet.

Daddy gave her a bath tonight. Can you smell how sweet she is?

Whatever!

Logan is too small to join this group, but he sure did enjoy this song. It made him chuckle!

Brooke Lauryn

It's been a while since I posted a bunch of pictures of my little princess. So here are a few for you to enjoy! She is just so sweet and precious to me!

Peace Be Still

The junior choir sang Sunday night.

This song was Trevor's favorite.

Little Piggies

Aren't these piggies just cute? I couldn't help but paint them. :)

Flood!

It's almost time for us to build an ark around here! It rained yesterday afternoon and was coming down very hard this morning when we woke up. I was surprised how far the water had risen from the creek behind our house.

Normally you can not even see the skinny creek behind our house. I took this picture from my kitchen doorway.

The water has almost made it up to our shed!

Can you see the fence way back there? Normally the creek is running along that fenceline. If you've been to our home, you can see that even David's shooting range out there to the right is under water.

Good Morning!

Here's my baby girl yesterday morning. She was in such a good mood, just smiling and looking at her mobile. I had to get some footage of her. So turn up your volume and enjoy this happy baby!

Beauty

We had a few days of wet, snow around here. There was more rain than snow, but it was chilly. Sunday morning I looked outside the kitchen window and was amazed at the beauty of the hill behind our home. It was so pretty I had to take a picture. You can see the beautiful fall colors painting the trees below, and the snow covering the trees above. There's a cloud hanging over the mountain as well. What a pretty sight to see in the morning.

Company

Aunt Cindy was here for a few days last week. We had a good time with her going to Sight & Sound, swimming at the hotel pool and just hanging out.

She brought the boys matching shirts from Alaska. I had to laugh out loud when Trevor said to his dad, "Did you see the shirts Aunty Cindy brought us from Africa?" When I laughed he said, "I mean Antartica!" Ha! How funny!

This was Brooke's first swimming experience. She was doing fine. . . . until her big brother jumped in and splashed her as we were getting ready for a picture!

Let It Snow!

Believe it or not, those are not raindrops! We got our first snowfall of the season this afternoon. It was very wet and nothing stuck to the ground, but it looks like winter will be here before you know it!

In The Beginning

Saturday we went to Lancaster, Pennsylvania with my husband's sister and her boyfriend. We went to the Sight & Sound theater to the see their production of "In The Beginning." It was wonderful! A lot of our friends go to Sight & Sound often, so we've heard much about it, but this was our first experience to go ourselves. We will definitely be going back again! We enjoyed the musical play very much. It lasted about 2 1/2 hours and was well worth the trip.

The Millenium Theater is as grand and beautiful on the inside as it appears on the outside.

The giant screen in front of us, right before it lifted for the play to begin.

Just before intermission, Adam and Eve had been sent away from Eden. These two angels "guarded" the platform for the entire break.

I don't remember exactly what was happening here. But you can see Adam, Eve and the Lord, as well as the Tree of Life in this picture.

I think this was my favorite part. At the end they were showing how we will be invited to the wedding feast with Jesus. Adam came to the table and said, "LOOK! Here is my name, and right next to it is a new name!" Brings tears to my eyes even now to think of that new name we have written up in Glory!

In the spring they will be doing a production of Joseph. We are already planning to attend.

Can you see the lion and the lamb lying down together? Behind all those cute kids, of course!

Dr. Hal Webb

We were privileged to have Dr. Hal Webb and his wife in our church all day yesterday. It was such a blessing! Even today, my heart is still full from the sweet day we had at church. He preached for all three services and it tuckered him out, but he was so full of joy to be doing what he loves best. What a great example to us!

When I brought Brooke upstairs after the morning service was over, he came right over to her. He just loved her and as soon as he touched her foot he started praying, "Lord, please help this little girl to grow up to be a good Christian lady." We never had a baby dedication service for our Brooke, but I felt like I had one right at that moment! That evening when the boys came to have their Bibles signed, Dr. Webb prayed over them as well. It was so special and it brought tears to my eyes.

Us gals were getting our picture done, but Dr. Webb wanted to be in the photo with the baby too, so he came right over and joined in!

Praying for our boys:

Sing With Me. . .

Dr. Hal Webb and his wife were at our church yesterday. WHAT A BLESSING! An 83-year-old man, he's been serving the Lord for 67 years in the ministry. We hung around for a long time after the service was over so that our boys could be around this great man of God!

Laundry Girl

Laundry Girl. . . . kinda sounds like a new super-hero! :) I had my darling Brooke in my arms on the way up the stairs. I needed to get the laundry into the dryer so I could start a new load. So I found the best place possible to put her, and she loved it!

Etsy Giveaway

It's that time of year when I'm ready to break out the yarn and get creative! I've been ready for a new crocheting project and last night I started a hat for Brooke. While surfing the web for patterns I came across the Crafty Tortoise blog. I really enjoyed looking at her blog and getting cute crocheting ideas. If you visit the Crafty Tortoise blog during the month of October, you can enter a drawing for a gift certificate to the Crafty Tortoise's Etsy shop. I encourage you to do so!

Del Grosso's

Del Grosso's is a family theme park that is less than 30 minutes from our home. Last weekend was their finale weekend before they close for the winter season. It was only $4 to get in, so we took that opportunity to go with the kids and have some fun.

Was Cole having too much fun?!?! :)

David kept trying to get a good picture of Logan and me on the carousel.

Don't ask! LOL
